12 oz egg noodles

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic, sautéing until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.

        Add Vegetables: Stir in sliced mushrooms, and cook for an additional 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.

          Mix Creamy Sauce: Reduce heat to low, then stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-combined.

            Combine with Noodles: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles and the beef mixture, stirring until noodles are evenly coated with the creamy sauce.

              Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the noodle and beef mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.

                Top with Cheese and Breadcrumbs: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. If desired, add a layer of breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
