Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Rice Recipe

1 pound (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup (200g) long-grain rice

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup (240ml) chicken broth

1 cup (240ml) heavy cream

1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prep the Chicken: Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and onion powder on both sides.

    Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

        Add Rice and Broth: Stir in the rice, then add the chicken broth and dried thyme. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

          Make the Creamy Sauce: Once the rice is cooked, stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the cheese melts and creates a creamy sauce.
