Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup refried beans

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/4 cup sliced green onions

1/4 cup sour cream (for topping)

Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Optional: hot sauce or jalapeños for added heat

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it on a lightly greased baking sheet or a pizza stone. Pinch the seams together to form a solid crust.

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Taco Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning with about 2/3 cup of water, following packet instructions, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Spread the Base: Once the meat mixture is ready, spread 1 cup of refried beans evenly over the crescent roll crust.

Layer the Meat: After the beans, layer the ground beef or turkey mixture over the refried beans.

Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the meat layer. Follow with diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Once removed from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle sour cream on top, and add fresh cilantro. Optionally, add hot sauce or jalapeños for an extra kick. Cut into wedges and serve warm.
