8 oz cream cheese, softened

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp sesame oil

1/4 tsp black pepper

20 wonton wrappers

Cooking oil for frying

Sweet chili sauce (for serving)

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.

    Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of the wrapper.

      Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle and press the edges to seal tightly. You can fold the corners to the center for a decorative touch (optional).

        Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

          In a deep frying pan, heat about 2 inches of cooking oil over medium heat until hot (around 350°F or 175°C).

            Carefully add a few wontons to the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

              Remove wontons with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

                Serve the crispy cream cheese wontons warm with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
