Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust for sweetness)

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder

1 tablespoon hot water

Ice cubes (optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberry Puree: In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and honey (or maple syrup). Blend until you achieve a smooth puree. If you prefer a chunkier texture, blend less. Set aside.

Mix the Matcha: In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with 1 tablespoon of hot water until it's fully dissolved and smooth. You can use a bamboo whisk or a small electric frother for this step.

Heat the Milk: In a saucepan, gently heat the milk until warm (not boiling). If you prefer a frothy texture, you can use a milk frother or whisk it vigorously until frothy.

Assemble the Latte: In a glass, pour a layer of strawberry puree at the bottom. If you like, add ice cubes for a chilled drink. Pour the warm milk over the puree.

Add the Matcha: Gently drizzle the prepared matcha over the milk, allowing it to float on top. You can swirl it to create a beautiful marbled effect if desired.

Garnish and Serve: Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few strawberry slices on top. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious strawberry matcha latte!
