1 lb (450g) of Italian sausage (or your favorite type)

1 cup of BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1 medium onion, sliced

1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures a nice, even cooking process.

    Prepare the baking dish: Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with a small amount of olive oil.

      Arrange the sausages: Place the Italian sausages in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.

        Add the veggies: Evenly spread the sliced onions and bell peppers around the sausages. Sprinkle the minced garlic over everything.

          Season it: In a small bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Pour this mixture generously over the sausages and vegetables, making sure everything is well coated.

            Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 25 minutes.

              Enhance the flavor: After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through (internal temperature reaches 160°F or 70°C) and nicely caramelized.
