12 oz (340g) penne pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cubed

1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

8 oz (227g) cream cheese, softened

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup crispy bacon bits

½ cup green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Aromatics: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté the diced onion for about 3 minutes until translucent. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

      Cook the Chicken: Add the cubed chicken thighs to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and the ranch seasoning mix. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through.

        Add Cream Cheese & Broth: Lower the heat to medium-low and add in the softened cream cheese. Pour in the chicken broth while stirring continuously until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy and well combined.

          Combine Pasta & Cheese: Stir in the cooked penne pasta along with the shredded cheddar cheese and crispy bacon bits. Mix well to ensure that the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.

            Final Touches: Add the chopped green onions and adjust the seasonings with salt and pepper if needed. Stir everything until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
