Ingredients

1 package (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

4 cups milk (divided)

1 container (16 oz) whipped topping (thawed)

1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies (crushed)

1 cup gummy worms

¼ cup chocolate sprinkles

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.

Make the Pudding Mix: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and 3 cups of milk until smooth. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.

Combine Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well combined.

Crumb the Oreos: In a food processor or a resealable plastic bag, crush the Oreo cookies until they resemble fine crumbs. Set aside about ½ cup of the crushed cookies for topping.

Layer the Cake: Once the chocolate cake is cooled, crumble it into the bottom of a large serving dish. Pour the pudding mixture over the crumbled cake, spreading it evenly.

Add the Oreos: Sprinkle a generous layer of the crushed Oreos over the pudding layer. Press down slightly to ensure they adhere.

Top It Off: Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos on top of the cake. Decorate with gummy worms and chocolate sprinkles to resemble dirt.

Chill & Serve: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
