Ingredients

1 box of chocolate or vanilla cake mix

2 cups of your favorite ice cream (softened)

1/2 cup chocolate syrup

1/2 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup crushed cookies or graham crackers (for added crunch)

Fresh fruits or sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

Bake the Cake: Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions. Prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them. Follow the cake mix package instructions to prepare the batter, then pour it evenly into the prepared pans. Bake as directed and let them cool completely.

Prepare the Ice Cream Layer: While the cakes are cooling, take your softened ice cream and mix in the mini chocolate chips and crushed cookies for added texture (if using). Pour the mixture into a 9-inch round cake pan and smooth the top. Freeze the ice cream layer for at least 2 hours or until firm.

Assemble the Cake: Once the cakes and ice cream layer are completely cooled and firm, remove one cake layer from the pan and place it on a serving plate. Spread a layer of chocolate syrup on top of the first cake layer.

Add the Ice Cream Layer: Gently remove the ice cream layer from its pan (you can run warm water around the edges to help) and place it atop the first cake layer.

Top it Off: Add the second cake layer on top of the ice cream layer. Spread whipped cream evenly over the top and sides of the entire cake. (You can use a piping bag for a decorative finish if desired.)

Decorate: Sprinkle additional mini chocolate chips, crushed cookies, fresh fruits, or sprinkles on top for decoration.

Freeze and Serve: Place the assembled cake back in the freezer for at least 2 hours to set before slicing. Serve cold and enjoy the delightful layers!
