Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 large orange (zested and juiced)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

1 cup bell peppers, diced (any color)

1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice or quinoa for serving

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the ground chicken to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

In a small bowl, combine the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil, whisking until well mixed.

Pour the orange sauce over the cooked ground chicken and stir to coat evenly. Add the diced bell peppers and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the peppers are slightly tender.

Stir in the chopped green onions just before serving to maintain their crunch.

Serve the orange ground chicken over cooked rice or quinoa, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
