Ingredients

1 lb ground pork sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel), drained

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and ground sausage. Mix until well incorporated.

Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, shredded cheddar cheese, and all dry ingredients (flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and baking powder) until everything is evenly mixed.

Use your hands to form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Once all the mixture has been shaped into balls, bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. If desired, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy their cheesy, savory goodness!
