Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded red cabbage

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 lime, cut into wedges

1/3 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly, and let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Warm the Tortillas: In the same skillet or a separate pan, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they are soft and pliable.

Assemble the Tacos: Place a few shrimp in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.

Add the Finishing Touches: Drizzle the tacos with sour cream or Greek yogurt, a squeeze of lime, and a few dashes of hot sauce if desired.

Serve: Serve the tacos immediately while warm with extra lime wedges on the side. Enjoy!
