Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Juice of 1 lime

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage (green or purple)

½ cup diced tomatoes

½ avocado, sliced

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Salsa or hot sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Allow to marinate for about 10-15 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

Warm the Tortillas: While the shrimp are cooking, warm the tortillas. You can heat them in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds on each side or wrap them in aluminum foil and place them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes.

Assemble the Tacos: Place a portion of shredded cabbage on each warmed tortilla. Add the cooked shrimp on top, followed by diced tomatoes, avocado slices, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.

Serve: Drizzle with salsa or hot sauce to taste. Enjoy your delicious shrimp tacos immediately!
