Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup sliced pepperoni

½ cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled

½ cup sliced bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)

½ cup sliced mushrooms

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about 12x10 inches.

Layer Ingredients: Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top, followed by the pepperoni, cooked sausage, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.

Roll the Stromboli: Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, tucking in the edges as you go, to form a log shape. Pinch the seams and ends to seal the filling inside.

Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown.

Cool and Slice: Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Slice the stromboli into thick pieces.

Serve: Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
