Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup almond flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain, non-fat)

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup sugar-free sweetener (like erythritol or stevia, adjust to taste)

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk)

Optional: 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (sugar-free)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the unsweetened cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, eggs, vanilla extract, sugar-free sweetener, applesauce, and almond milk. Whisk until smooth and well blended.

Combine and Mix: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined; be careful not to over-mix. If you’re adding the chocolate chips, fold them in gently at this stage.

Pour and Spread: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Spread it out evenly using a spatula.

Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still slightly soft (a toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs).

Cool Down: Once done, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Slice and Enjoy: Once the brownies are cool, slice into squares and enjoy your guilt-free dessert!
