Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon allspice

1/4 teaspoon salt

Filling:

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A splash of milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, instant yeast, and salt.

In another bowl, combine the warm milk, pumpkin puree, melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring to combine.

Slowly incorporate the remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

Meanwhile, prepare the filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and softened butter; mix until creamy.

After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (about 16x12 inches). Spread the filling evenly over the dough.

Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12-15 equal slices.

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and place the rolls inside, spacing them slightly apart. Cover and let rise again until doubled (about 30-45 minutes).

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add milk for desired consistency.

Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool for 10 minutes before drizzling with cream cheese frosting. Serve warm and enjoy!
