Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

3/4 cup granulated sugar (divided)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Pinch of salt

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh strawberries and 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar. Toss gently and set aside for about 15-20 minutes until the strawberries release their juices.

After the strawberries have macerated, blend them in a blender or food processor until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, reserve a few strawberry pieces and stir them in after blending.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Slowly fold the blended strawberries into the cream mixture until well combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20-30 minutes.

Once it reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container. If desired, fold in the reserved strawberry pieces for added texture.

Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours or until firm to achieve a scoopable consistency.

Serve scoops of your delicious Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream Treat in bowls or cones, topped with fresh strawberry slices if desired.
