1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1/2 cup brownie mix (for swirls)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Set aside.

      Combine Sugars and Butter: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

        Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
