Ingredients

1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained

1/2 cup natural almond butter (or any nut butter)

1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

2 large eggs

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup vanilla whey protein powder (or plant-based protein powder)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup dark chocolate chips (optional, for extra fudginess)

Chopped nuts or shredded coconut (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Blend Ingredients: In a food processor, combine the black beans, almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), eggs, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.

Add Chocolate Chips: If you're using chocolate chips, fold them into the batter using a rubber spatula, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

Pour Batter: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using the spatula.

Optional Toppings: If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts or shredded coconut over the top for added texture and flavor.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool Down: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Slice and Serve: Once cooled, slice your brownies into squares or rectangles. Enjoy them as a healthy snack or a post-workout treat!
