Ingredients

4 halibut fillets (about 6 oz each)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease with non-stick spray.

Prepare the Topping: In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, fresh parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until it achieves a crumbly consistency.

Season the Halibut: Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place them in the prepared baking dish.

Apply the Topping: Generously spoon the Parmesan mixture over each fillet, ensuring an even coating.

Bake the Halibut: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the halibut is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The topping should be golden and crispy.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let it rest for a couple of minutes, and serve with fresh lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
