Garlic Shrimp with Bell Peppers

This garlic shrimp with bell peppers is a simple dinner recipe made with everyday ingredients. Perfect for busy days and family meals.

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions
 

Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.

    Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

      Cook the Bell Peppers: Add the sliced red and yellow bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they start to soften.

        Add the Shrimp: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, stirring occasionally.

          Finish with Flavor: Remove the skillet from heat. Drizzle the lemon juice over the shrimp and bell peppers, then add the chopped parsley. Toss everything to combine and enhance the flavors.

            Serve: Plate the Garlic Shrimp with Bell Peppers hot, and enjoy it on its own, with rice, or in tacos for a delightful meal!
