Ingredients

3 ripe pears, cored and sliced into thick rounds

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 ball of burrata cheese (about 6 ounces)

1/4 cup fresh arugula (optional, for garnish)

Sea salt, for sprinkling

Freshly cracked black pepper, for seasoning

Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

Instructions

Prepare the Pears: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, stirring continuously until fully dissolved.

Caramelize the Pears: Add the pear slices to the skillet, along with the vanilla extract and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the pears in the caramel mixture. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pears are tender and golden brown, turning occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Assemble the Towers: On a serving plate, start building your towers with a slice of caramelized pear as the base. Tear pieces of the burrata cheese and place them on top of the pear. Add another slice of caramelized pear on top of the burrata, followed by more burrata. Repeat this layering up to three times, maintaining a tower structure.

Garnish and Finish: Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top of each tower and sprinkle with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper. If using, scatter fresh arugula leaves around the bases of the towers for a pop of color and flavor.

Serve: Serve immediately to enjoy the warm, creamy, and sweet contrast of flavors.
