Golden Oven Baked Chicken Wings

This golden oven baked chicken wings is a simple dinner recipe made with everyday ingredients. Perfect for busy days and family meals.

Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

1 teaspoon baking powder (for extra crispiness)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Your favorite hot sauce or barbecue sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings get crispy on all sides.

Prep the Chicken Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture.

Make the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder. Mix until it forms a paste.

Toss the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until they are evenly coated.

Arrange on the Rack: Place the marinated wings in a single layer on the wire rack, making sure they do not touch each other. This allows for even cooking.

Bake the Wings: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through. They should be golden brown, crispy, and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the wings from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley. Serve with your favorite hot sauce or barbecue sauce on the side.
