Ingredients

10 chicken drumsticks

1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Marinate the Drumsticks: Add the chicken drumsticks to the marinade, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F - 400°F).

Grill the Drumsticks: Remove the drumsticks from the marinade and shake off excess. Place the drumsticks on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Add the BBQ Sauce: In the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on the drumsticks on both sides. Close the grill lid to allow the sauce to caramelize slightly.

Rest and Serve: Once cooked thoroughly, remove the drumsticks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes (including marinating) | Servings: 4 (2 drumsticks each)
