Grilled BBQ Chicken Thighs (Super Tender)

This grilled bbq chicken thighs (super tender) is a simple dinner recipe made with everyday ingredients. Perfect for busy days and family meals.

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon honey (optional for a sweet touch)

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps to achieve a crispy skin when grilling.

    Make the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, black pepper, salt, apple cider vinegar, and honey (if using).

      Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, ensuring each piece is well coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for maximum flavor).

        Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C). Oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

          Grill the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 7-8 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.

            Flip and Brush with BBQ Sauce: Flip the chicken thighs over, and brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on the skin side. Grill for another 7-8 minutes.

              Final Glaze: Turn the chicken over once more, brushing more BBQ sauce on the skin side. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

                Rest the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring tender and juicy chicken.
