4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons chipotle chili powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Juice of 2 limes (about 1/4 cup)

Zest of 1 lime

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together chipotle chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, lime juice, lime zest, and olive oil until well combined.

    Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-3 hours for maximum flavor.

      Preheat the Grill: Preheat your outdoor grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

        Grill the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on one side. Flip the chicken and grill for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the juices run clear.

          Rest the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices, ensuring tender chicken.

            Serve: Slice the grilled chicken and serve it garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side. Pair it with rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
