Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

½ cup warm milk (110°F)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 cup icing sugar (for glaze)

2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Black and orange sprinkles or edible spooky decorations

Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm milk with the active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Prepare Dough: In a large bowl, combine the remaining flour, sugar, salt, and melted butter. Add the activated yeast mixture and the egg. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Roll Out: Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangular shape (about ¼ inch thick).

Fill the Rolls: Spread softened butter over the dough. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough.

Shape Rolls: Roll the dough tightly from the long side to create a log. Cut it into 1-inch pieces to form rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.

Second Rise: Cover rolls with a cloth and allow them to rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together icing sugar and milk until smooth. Adjust consistency with more milk if needed.

Decorate: Once the cinnamon rolls have cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over them and sprinkle with black and orange sprinkles for a festive look.

Serve: Enjoy your spooky Halloween cinnamon rolls warm and share them with friends and family!
