Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

1/4 cup toasted macadamia nuts, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.

Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lime juice, and grated ginger until well combined.

Pour the honey mixture over the cooked shrimp, stirring to coat all the shrimp evenly. Allow to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld and the sauce thicken slightly.

Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted macadamia nuts.

Serve hot over cooked jasmine rice, drizzling any remaining sauce over the top for extra flavor.
