Ingredients

4 cups water

1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3-4 lemons)

2-3 cups cold water (to dilute)

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Ice cubes

Instructions

Brew the Hibiscus Tea: In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Allow it to steep for about 15-20 minutes.

Sweeten the Tea: Strain the hibiscus tea into a large pitcher (removing the flowers) while it's still warm. Stir in the 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until fully dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature.

Prepare Strawberries: In a blender, add the sliced strawberries and blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, you can mash them with a fork instead.

Combine & Mix: Once the hibiscus tea has cooled, mix in the fresh lemon juice, the pureed strawberries, and add 2-3 cups of cold water to your preferred strength. Taste and adjust the sweetness or citrus level as desired.

Chill: Refrigerate the pitcher for about 1-2 hours to chill thoroughly.

Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes, and pour the chilled hibiscus strawberry lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.

Enjoy: Refresh yourself with this vibrant, tart, and sweet drink!
