Ingredients

2 cups raw or roasted almonds

1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional)

1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for creaminess)

Instructions

Prep the Almonds: If you're using raw almonds, you can toast them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-12 minutes to enhance their flavor. Let them cool slightly before blending.

Blend the Almonds: Place the almonds in your blender. Start blending on a low setting, gradually increasing to high speed. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides with a spatula.

Achieve Desired Consistency: As you blend, the almonds will first turn into a fine meal, then gradually transform into a creamy butter. This may take about 8-12 minutes, depending on your blender's strength. If your butter looks too thick, you can add the coconut oil to help it become smoother.

Seasoning (Optional): After reaching a smooth consistency, add sea salt and sweetener, if desired. Blend again until fully combined.

Store your Almond Butter: Transfer the almond butter to an airtight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Total Time: 20 minutes | Servings: About 1.5 cups
