Ingredients

1 large baguette or ciabatta loaf

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 large cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for a cheesy version)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well until you have a smooth garlic butter.

Slice the baguette or ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise. If you prefer smaller pieces, you can also cut it into desired sections.

Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on the cut side of the bread. Make sure to cover it evenly for maximum flavor.

If you’re using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it evenly over the garlic butter.

Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the butter is bubbly.

For extra crispiness, you can broil the bread for an additional 2-3 minutes but watch it closely to avoid burning.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing into pieces if you haven’t done so already.

Serve warm, and enjoy the aroma of freshly baked garlic bread with pasta, salads, or as an appetizer!
