Ingredients

4 cups water

3 black tea bags (or 4 tablespoons loose leaf black tea)

2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

1/3 cup honey (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Boil the Water: In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Steep the Tea: Once boiling, remove the pot from heat. Add the tea bags (or loose leaf tea in a tea infuser) and let steep for about 5 minutes. For a stronger flavor, steep for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Prepare the Peaches: While the tea is steeping, take your ripe peaches and slice them into thin wedges. If you prefer a more uniform flavor, you can puree half of the peaches in a blender to release their juices.

Sweeten the Tea: After steeping, remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaf tea. While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until fully dissolved. If you like a little tartness, add the lemon juice.

Combine Peaches and Tea: Add the sliced peaches (or peach puree) to the sweetened tea, stirring gently to combine.

Chill: Allow the tea to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate until its cold, at least 1 hour.

Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled honey peach tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired, and add extra peach slices for presentation.
