Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey for a healthier option)

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1 cup refried beans (canned or homemade)

4 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)

4 small corn tortilla chips

1 cup lettuce, shredded

1 cup tomatoes, diced

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a Mexican blend)

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup taco sauce (mild, medium, or hot according to preference)

Olive oil or cooking spray (for grilling)

Instructions

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks. When browned (about 5-7 minutes), drain the fat and stir in the taco seasoning (follow package instructions for water or add your preferred amount). Set aside.

Prepare the Base: On a clean, flat surface, lay a large flour tortilla. Spread a generous layer of refried beans in the center, leaving about 2 inches from the edge.

Layer Ingredients: On top of the refried beans, layer the seasoned meat, followed by a handful of lettuce, diced tomatoes, a few corn tortilla chips for crunch, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream. Drizzle your taco sauce on top of the cheese.

Fold and Secure: Carefully fold the edges of the tortilla inward over the filling towards the center, creating pleats and forming a hexagonal shape. Secure with the palm of your hand as you fold.

Cook the Crunchwrap: In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil or spray with cooking spray. Place the Crunchwrap folded-side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until it’s golden brown. Carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Serve and Enjoy: Remove from skillet, cut in half if desired, and serve with extra sour cream or taco sauce.
