Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup refried beans

4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)

4 small tostadas

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 large tomato, diced

1 cup sour cream

1 avocado, sliced or guacamole

Cooking oil (for grilling)

Optional: hot sauce or salsa for serving

Instructions

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat. Add the taco seasoning and follow the package directions, usually adding water and simmering for a few minutes.

Prep the Tortillas: In a separate microwave-safe plate, heat the large flour tortillas for about 20-30 seconds until they are pliable.

Build the Crunchwrap: Lay one tortilla on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of refried beans first, followed by a generous amount of the seasoned ground beef.

Layer the Toppings: Next, place a tostada on top of the beef mixture, and then add cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and avocado/guacamole.

Fold the Wrap: Carefully fold the edges of the tortilla in towards the center, creating pleats as you go around. Make sure to fold it tightly so that the fillings don’t spill out.

Cook the Crunchwrap: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Place the folded Crunchwrap seam-side down onto the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side until browned and crispy.

Serve: Once both sides are crispy, remove the Crunchwrap from the skillet. Slice in half, serve with hot sauce or salsa if desired, and enjoy!
