Ingredients

4 cups water

4 green tea bags

2 cups honeydew melon, cubed

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, packed

1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust for sweetness)

Juice of 1 lime

Ice cubes

Mint sprigs and honeydew slices for garnish

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the green tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the tea bags.

While the tea is steeping, blend the honeydew melon in a blender until smooth. Strain the blended melon through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl to separate the juice from the pulp. Discard the pulp.

In a large pitcher, combine the strained honeydew juice, fresh mint leaves, honey or agave syrup, and lime juice. Muddle the mint leaves gently with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their oils.

Pour the brewed green tea into the pitcher with the honeydew mixture and stir well to combine.

Add ice cubes to the pitcher to chill the tea. You can also refrigerate it for at least 1 hour if you prefer a colder beverage.

Serve the iced tea over ice in tall glasses, garnished with fresh mint sprigs and slices of honeydew melon.
