4 cups Cheerios cereal

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Optional: 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Prepare the Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.

      Combine Ingredients: Once melted, add the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt to the butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and bubbly, about 2-3 minutes.

        Add Vanilla: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract to enhance the flavor.

          Coat the Cheerios: In a large mixing bowl, pour the Cheerios cereal. Gradually drizzle the hot butter mixture over the Cheerios, and mix gently with a spatula until all cereals are evenly coated. If desired, fold in chopped nuts and mini marshmallows for added texture and flavor.
