Ingredients

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon almond extract

½ cup cocoa powder

1 cup mini marshmallows

½ cup chocolate chips

Sprinkles or crushed peppermint for decoration

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. This will take about 2-3 minutes.

Add Egg and Extracts: Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture. Mix until well combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Fold in Chocolate Chips and Marshmallows: Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips to the cookie dough.

Scoop Cookies: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop heaping scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.

Decoration: If desired, sprinkle some crushed peppermint or sprinkles on top of each cookie before baking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly soft.

Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
