Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup hot fudge sauce

Whipped cream (for serving)

Chopped nuts (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan with butter or cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined and smooth.

Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking after each addition until fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, allowing them to distribute evenly throughout the batter.

Pour half of the pie batter into the prepared pie pan, spreading it evenly. Drizzle half of the hot fudge sauce over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not completely clean).

Remove from the oven and let the pie cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Slice the pie and serve warm with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of the remaining hot fudge sauce over the top. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
