Total Time 33 minutes

Ingredients

- For the Pizza Rolls:

- 1 package (11 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

- 1 cup pepperoni slices

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

- For the Hot Honey Drizzle:

- 1/4 cup honey

- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

- For Garnish:

- Fresh basil leaves, chopped

- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    2. Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to approximately a 12x12 inch square. Cut the dough into 4 equal squares.

      3. Assemble the Rolls:

        - Place a few pepperoni slices in the center of each dough square.

          - Top with a generous sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.

            - Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a pocket. Ensure they are tightly sealed to avoid leaks during baking.

              4. Bake the Rolls:

                - Place the pizza rolls on the parchment-lined baking sheet, seam-side down.

                  - Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

                    5. Make the Hot Honey Drizzle:

                      - While the pizza rolls are baking, whisk together the honey, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Adjust the heat by adding more or fewer pepper flakes as per your preference.

                        6. Serve:

                          - Once the pizza rolls are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

                            - Drizzle the hot honey mixture over the rolls and garnish with chopped basil and grated Parmesan if desired.

                              - Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

                                Notes

                                - Cooking Tips:
                                - If you’d like a cheesier filling, feel free to add ricotta cheese or provolone to the mix.
                                - You can use any leftover pizza toppings you have on hand, such as bell peppers, olives, or sautéed mushrooms.
                                - Substitutions:
                                - Use gluten-free pizza dough if you're looking for a gluten-free option.
                                - You can replace the honey with agave syrup for a vegan option; just make sure to omit the cheese or use vegan cheese.
