Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets skin-on for best flavor
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes adjust for spice preference
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, apple cider vinegar, red chili flakes, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, and sea salt until combined.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the hot honey mixture. Reserve some of the glaze for basting during cooking.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, basting with the reserved glaze halfway through, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Tip 1: For an extra layer of flavor, marinate the salmon in the honey mixture for 30 minutes before baking.
Tip 2: Leftover salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Variation: Substitute the salmon with chicken breast for a different protein option.
