Ingredients

4 cups water

2 tablespoons loose green tea leaves (or 2 green tea bags)

1 cup fresh blueberries (plus extra for garnish)

1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Ice cubes

Instructions

Make the Blueberry Syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the fresh blueberries and honey (or agave syrup). Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries break down and release their juices. Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to separate the syrup from the solids. Set aside to cool.

Brew the Green Tea: In a separate saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the loose green tea leaves or tea bags. Let steep for 3-5 minutes, then remove the leaves/bags. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Combine Ingredients: Once the green tea has cooled, stir in the blueberry syrup and lemon juice. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

Chill: Place the tea mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill.

Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled blueberry green tea over the ice. Garnish with extra blueberries and fresh mint leaves.

Enjoy: Sip your refreshing iced blueberry green tea on a warm day and enjoy the delightful blend of flavors!
