2 large eggs

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sour cream

For the Caramel Sauce:

1 cup granulated sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

For Garnish:

Chocolate shavings

Extra caramel sauce

Instructions

Prepare the Brownie Layer:

    - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

      - In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and mix in the sugar until smooth.

        - Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.

          - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

            - Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool.

              Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:

                - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy.

                  - Add vanilla, eggs, and flour, mixing until just combined. Incorporate sour cream until smooth and creamy.

                    - Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled brownie layer in the springform pan.

                      Bake the Cheesecake:

                        - Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until the edges are set but the center still has a slight jiggle.

                          - Remove from the oven and allow to cool at room temperature for an hour. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

                            Prepare the Caramel Sauce:

                              - In a medium saucepan, heat the sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until melted and turns a deep amber color (be careful not to burn).

                                - Once melted, carefully add the butter and stir until combined. Gradually pour in the heavy cream while stirring (the mixture will bubble). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Let cool slightly.

                                  Assemble and Serve:

                                    - Once the cheesecake is chilled, remove it from the springform pan. Drizzle a generous amount of caramel sauce over the top.

                                      - Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and extra caramel sauce if desired.

                                        - Slice into pieces, serve, and watch your guests be wowed by the rich layers of flavor!
