Ingredients

2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 packet Mississippi-style ranch dressing mix

1 packet Au Jus gravy mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 jar (16 oz) pepperoncini peppers, including juice

1 large onion, sliced

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne (optional, for heat)

4 hamburger buns or your choice of bread

1 cup coleslaw (for serving)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of a slow cooker. Spread the ranch dressing mix evenly over the chicken, followed by the Au Jus gravy mix.

Add the Peppers: Pour the entire jar of pepperoncini peppers (with juice) over the chicken. Then, scatter the sliced onions and seasonings (garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne) on top.

Butter it Up: Cut the stick of butter into pieces and place them evenly on top of the mixture in the slow cooker.

Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred the meat. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix it well with the juices and peppers.

Prepare the Sandwiches: Toast your hamburger buns lightly for extra flavor.

Assemble the Dinner: Take a portion of the pulled chicken and place it on the bottom half of each bun. Top with coleslaw for a crunchy contrast, then cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite side dishes, like sweet potato fries or pickles.
