Ingredients

For the crust:

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

¼ cup granulated sugar

For the cheesecake filling:

16 oz cream cheese, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup sour cream

For the pecan pie layer:

1 cup pecans, chopped

½ cup light brown sugar

¼ cup corn syrup

2 large eggs

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.

Make the cheesecake filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue to beat until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract and sour cream until smooth and creamy.

Prepare the pecan pie layer: In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.

Assemble the cheesecake: Pour half of the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust. Spoon the pecan pie filling over the cheesecake layer, spreading it evenly. Top with the remaining cheesecake filling, smoothing it out gently.

Bake: Carefully place the springform pan in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door cracked for 1 hour.

Chill: Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serve: Before serving, you may top the cheesecake with additional pecans or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra indulgent finish. Slice and enjoy this decadent dessert!
