Ingredients

1 lb kielbasa, sliced into 1/4-inch coins

1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped

1 large onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for heat)

1/4 cup chicken broth (or water)

Salt to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Cook the Kielbasa: Add the sliced kielbasa to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sausage is nicely browned. Remove it from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Then, add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.

Add Cabbage: Stir in the chopped cabbage, paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss well to combine.

Deglaze & Steam: Pour in the chicken broth (or water) and stir to deglaze the skillet. Cover and let the cabbage steam for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes tender.

Combine & Heat Through: Return the cooked kielbasa to the skillet, stir everything together, and heat through for another 2-3 minutes. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Spoon the kielbasa and cabbage mixture onto plates and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot.
