1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature

3 large eggs

Zest of 2 lemons

½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Lemon Glaze:

2 cups powdered sugar

3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch sheet cake pan.

    Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 4-5 minutes.

      Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs, buttermilk, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix until well combined.

        Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
