2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

tsp baking soda

tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cups granulated sugar

Zest of 2 large lemons

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350F (175C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

      Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

        Add Flavorings: Mix in the lemon zest, lemon juice, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

          Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
