Ingredients

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

2 green onions, finely chopped

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tuna steaks (about 6 ounces each)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, lime juice, orange juice, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.

Stir in the chopped green onions and season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the tuna, ensuring they are fully coated.

Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade and let the excess liquid drip off.

Grill the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer a more well-done steak.

Once cooked to your liking, remove from heat and serve immediately, drizzling with any remaining marinade if desired.
