Ingredients
  

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your choice of milk)

1/2 teaspoon matcha green tea powder

1 chai tea bag (or 1 tablespoon loose chai tea)

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of ground cinnamon

A pinch of ground ginger (optional)

Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)

Extra dusting of matcha or cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions
 

In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until it’s hot but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent it from scalding.

    While the milk is heating, brew the chai tea. For a stronger flavor, simply steep the chai tea bag in a small cup of hot water for 5 minutes.

      Once the milk is heated, remove it from the heat and whisk in the matcha powder until fully dissolved and frothy.

        Add the honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and spices (cinnamon and ginger) to the matcha milk mixture, whisking well to combine.

          If desired, you can blend the mixture for a few seconds to create a frothy texture.

            Pour the brewed chai tea into your favorite mug, then slowly pour the matcha mixture over the chai.

              Stir gently to create a beautiful marbled effect, and top with whipped cream if desired.

                Finish with a light dusting of matcha powder or ground cinnamon for an extra touch.
