Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb Italian sausage

1 medium onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained

1 can (15 oz) corn, drained

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 tbsp taco seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook until browned and crumbly, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the black beans, corn, diced tomatoes with green chilies, and taco seasoning. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.

Lower the heat, and add in the softened cream cheese and sour cream, stirring until fully combined and creamy.

Mix in half of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the dip to a baking dish and spread evenly. Top with the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the dip for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with tortilla chips.
